They already went from Charr->Stone Summit->Shining Blade->Undead/White Mantle->"The Forgotten"/Gods->Mursaat->Titans/Litch
Hellooooo...The Charr are practically the first 10th-5th of the game. After that, they are practically forgotten in the storyline.
However, it still would be nice to have a new storyline for chapter 2. Maybe a few of the old players (see diagram above) could jump in from time to time, but for the most part new things should happen. Oh boy, can't wait to try As/W (as I think As is the abbreviation for Assassin) in the new chapter...

yes i know the ligers you are talking about. but the fact is they are sterile when born, so they have no way to carry on the species themselves. ligers must always be produced from a tiger and lion. the biggest self-sufficent cat is the siberian tiger(biggest of the tiger species)
oh and i suppose i better stay on topic! so..i cant wait for the new expansion! i really need more slots for characters, and more storage for SURE. im still upset with my mail as i subsribe to CGW, and havent recieved my issue yet

I don't think I read all of your other post (anything too long and i just zone out), even though they label GW as a rpg, every other article I read about it seemed to focus on the pvp side of it, with the rpg part of the game there for the people who want it. It didn't seem like think they ever intended people to play the game for the rpg aspect of the game only. more of a mixed blend or all out pvp (atleast thats what all the articles/previews for the game seemed to tell me).
Anyway, I probably just repeated everything you said again, but I think i might have came off as an ass in the other post. O_o

I am in agreement with this, the Charr are so not like the Borg, nothing in Ascalon was ever resolved, will the Charr finally seize ascalon or shall all of our wayward and NOW POWERFUL selves come back to our homeland and DEMOLISH the SOBs.... honestly i would like to see a wrap up of that nature............ WOULDN"T YOOU ALL?

Will have to comb this Cantha for new elite skill using monsters...
this inate energy given on crit hit sounds interesting; Will have to see how that works with an Area Attack: Cyclone Axe; Hundred Blades; Barrage...
the ritualist's primary att probly wont be avilable as a secondary; but if it is my monks best friend (Dire UW Spider) would be pleased.
and more support healing!? sounds good.
does this magizine enclude a release date of Guild Wars:Chapter 2 Cantha?
I will have to check out B&N and find me a copy.

think thyre adding more than 2 professions
"the ritualist's primary att probly wont be avilable as a secondary"
Hence why its called the primary attribute...

So, like, what is going to happen here? Chapter 2 introduces a new pre-seering area and a new story in a location different than chapter 1. But a large percentage of GW players that will move on to chapter 2 will already have played GW chapter 1 for months and months, and already have played and still have at high level 4 (or, if they have an additional account like me, 5 or 6) of the original 6 classes. And that probably means this large percentage of GW players will not care to replay the original 6 character classes but instead stick to the two new ones. I know I will.
So this means that the new preseering and the lower level portions of Chapter 2 will most likely be populated by just about ONLY the two new character classes. (Here I don't consider the high level Chapter 1 characters that don't seem to have anything else to do but hang around running people everywhere imaginable.) And what is that going to be like? Forming a party for any missions and quests will be miserable: for human players there will pretty much only be the two new classes to choose party members from. Sounds kind of dull and unworkable to me. Wonder if Anet has thought about this?

on release date, i have pre-ordered it on play.com, and it is slated for a march 1st release. i doubt that will be the case, but beta testing is going on as we speak, the trail run of the new profs will be opened for all in week and a bit, so i would imagine ironing out balance problmes, broken quest items etc were the order of the day at the moment.
I hope they get sorted asap. that said, i would rather wait an extra week for the game to come out thanspend the first week of play constantly plagued by problems and balance issues. Lets hope the beta testers do their job.
I have secret suspicion that the pvp GW:F weekend is a balance test for the new build as much as anything. There is nothing like opening up 2 new classes to the pvp public to discover exploits. i expect pvp will be almost entirely assasin or ritualist for a while
Edit: in reply to the post above, i speculate that Factions will continue straight on from original pre searing, and go thro the game like that, with the game splitting at LA, which seems to have a lot to do with Cantha, the setting for the next game. Alternately i think that we may go 'post searing' again, there is nothing tosay that the new area is not in a new time zone. that way all old characters will be head into the new game. That is just speculation btw, based on no facts what so ever.
Most likely, i think, is that the game will start of the same way, and then at some point u choose ur faction, and then things start splitting away from the original. maybe.
One things for sure, ur right, there will be a lot of assassin and ritualists around at the beggining, which i guess we will have to cope with :S

but who said that there will be only 2 new professions ? i think there will be 6 new professions , they only told us about 2 , becose other way there would be no suprizes.
and also , if you decide to move your char from chapter 1 to chapter 2 zones , im sure it wont be possible to go to chapter 2 pre searing zones with them ... pre searing zone can only have low level chars , or it woulnd be pre searing ... and also .. those level 20 from chap 1 that reach chap 2 zones , will only be able to do high level missions and quests , or the missions that low level do , but with incrized dificulty , high level monsters etc , just like the 20k exp droks quests around tyra ... if they decide to take with team or run low level new profession chars along , the mission will be high level dificulty. guessing of corse but for me its obvius.

you re right, but i think it will be like this only when chapter 2 comes out. after what, 1 month or 2(maximum) , i think ppl will want to try the new missions with the 6 original professions.
also some ppl may buy both chap 1 & 2 at the same time and try chapter 2 with chapter 1 professions( i think you can do that). some players may not want to try the new professions (but i agree it would be a bit weird...)or not like them ( i know i try ele once and didnt like it so i never played it again).

Will the new professions (Assassins and Ritualists) not be able to explore 'Chapter 1 Tyria', for the sake that then people that have not bought the expansion will be able to see (not play) the new classes anyway (and maybe some of the other new stuff as well, as in battle with players with some of the new skills?) ?
How is this going to work? How will ArenaNET be able to properly seperate those that have not bought the expansion with those who have? Will the expansion, Guild Wars:Factions be compulsory?

Anyone who's ever played Ninja Gaiden 1-3 (NES) will know why Eagles cannot be in this game, or atleast not charmable by an Assassin/Ranger or be on the same team as an Assassin.

This has already been answered before...
Yes, As/Ri will be able to explore Chapter 1. Yes Chapter 1 only characters will be able to see As/Ri. Yes Chapter 1 only characters can form groups with As/Ri.

Thank you, this answered a lot of what I was hoping, and opened up a few new questions of mine. I'll shoot:
If the new professions are going to be exploring the 'Chapter 1 Tyria', that means that ArenaNET will have to make all the armors for the classes right. And a section in the Dragon's Lair mission for both of them (Since there are currently six places for each profession, unincluding Glint's den)! Gods? Skill Color?

shouldnt bee to dificult if they drip-feed us the nesicary updates in sleep mode before the Chap2 sell date....
they just need to add all the visible apearances of the new characters and thier armours ect and new wepons images.....compared to areas, thats gota be smaller
then on the big day, add one more update that wakes up the stuff they hid in the little ones and were all set to go look at eachother
